Western Surgery Centre Moving to Brand New State-of-the-art Facility
After 26 years at the same location, the Western Surgery Centre is poised to make a big move to its brand new state-of- the-art facility on Sterling Lyon Way.
Western Surgery Centre always has an eye on minimizing patient stress and making the surgical experience as comfortable as possible. Staff often receive compliments from patients about the low-stress, relaxing atmosphere.
“They love the hands-on care, says assistant manager Bev Kibsey, “And we love to provide it for them.”
The new Western Surgery Centre on Sterling Lyon Way was designed solely with the comfort of patients in mind. At almost 10,000 square feet, it is more than quadruple the size of the Vaughan Street location and features four operating rooms.
Dr. Murray says expanding from two to four operating rooms increases capacity in Manitoba’s health care system.
“This could take pressure off waiting lists in the health care system,” explains Murray.
