Chemical peels are treatments designed to diminish these blemishes and restore your skin to a smoother, youthful appearance.

How its done?

Chemical peels utilize specifically designed solutions to exfoliate the upper layers of your skin. After the session, as part of the healing process, increased cell growth produces new, healthier skin layers which give the face a rejuvenated appearance.

The procedure often takes 30 to 60 minutes with minimal discomfort. No anesthesia is required.

Post-operative course

Patients experience minimal discomfort that, if required, is easily controlled with oral medication. Chemical peels are very safe with few side-effects. Immediately after the procedure, your face will feel like it has a ‘sunburn’ (redness, irritation). A bandage is not required but a protective ointment should be applied in the days immediately after the procedure. The outer layers of the skin will peel away several days after treatment and new skin will begin to form over the next several weeks.
